The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Anambra state chapter is in another deep crisis as Chief Chris Uba, has obtained an order of the FCT high court hijacking the entire structures of the party in 14 LGAs of the state.

According to the court order, the Claimants, Moses Akam and Ikenna Evans who are lackeys of Chief Chris Uba approached the FCT high court claiming to have contested and became the elected ward and LG executives of PDP in 14 LGAs of Oyi, Aguata, Anambra East, Anambra West, Ayamelum, Dunukofia, Ekwusigo, Idemili South, Ihiala, Nnewi South, Onitsha North, Onitsha South, Orumba North and Orumba South.

They told the court that to their greatest charging, the National Chairman of PDP on March 8, 2022 invited them to Abuja office of the party and told them that they are no longer allowed to perform the functions of the offices of which they were elected.

They sought protection from the court to allow them remain in their various offices in the wards and LGAs for the period of 4 years.

The court granted them all their prayers and further gave an order restraining PDP from dealing with any other executive in the affected LGAs.

With Chris Uba hijacking the PDP wards and LGA executives of PDP in Anambra state, he will comfortably determine who picks the party ticket in the 2023 general election.

A PDP chieftain from Oyi LGA, under condition of anonymity said that PDP Anambra state would have no choice than to move into YPP for the purposes of contesting the 2023 general elections as they can not be subjected to the control of Uba in 2023 general elections.
