This is even as unconfirmed reports say two people have been gunned down.

A source who pleaded anonymity told Eastern Voice that gunmen passed through Orji flyover axis to Spitbath roundabout, which houses the Rochas Foundation College of Africa and then continued towards Amakohia axis, sending panic waves across the area.

Scores of vehicle drivers were seen making frantic U-turns to change their routes and avoid being caught up in the shooting spree.

On their part, passers-by and residents in the area took to their heels shouting and calling for God’s intervention in the state.

Imo State has been engulfed in indiscriminate shootings which has resulted in deaths even as scores of people especially young men have been discovered dead in morgue and several people locked behind bars even as there is heavy presence of security operatives.

All efforts made to reached the police PPRO proved abortive as he refuses to pick his call.
