Again,  Appeal Court Reiterates Decision Setting Mazi Nnamdi Kanu Free

After the Supreme Court had earlier rejected the Federal Government plan requesting the delay in the execution of the Court of Appeal decision on Mazi Nnamdi Kanu,  the Court of Appeal has restated it’s earlier decision.
Following the slur in the appeal by the FG at the Supreme Court, the FG has shifted to the Appeal Court for the stoppage of the execution of its Oct 13, 2022 order discharging the leader of IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
The FG had in the interim transferred all the three judges of the Appeal Court who had discharged Kanu.
The Appeal Court sitting in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, today has upheld the judgment setting the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, free.
According to the lawyer to Kanu, Chief Mike Ozekhome, (SAN), the court on Monday upheld the freedom of Kanu. He maintained that the further detention of Kanu beyond October 13, 2022, was illegal. Details later…
