APGA senatorial candidate slams N250m suit on Abia signage Agency

Senatorial candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) for Abia central zone, Chief Ahamdi Nweke, has filed a suit at an Abia state High Court sitting at Osisioma Ngwa, claiming N250 million compensation against the Abia State Signage and Advertisement Agency,(ABSAA) over alleged removal of his campaign billboards in Umuahia North and Umuahia South Local Government Areas of Abia state.
Director General of Nweke’s Campaign organization,Mr. Michael Chinagorom Okiyi, had in a sworn affidavit, averred that the respondents has been removing Nweke’s billboard  and flexes at Isi-Court  and Mission Hill in Umuahia South and Umuahia North areas, respectively.
In suit No: HOS/ 86/2022,Nweke’s counsel , Chidozie Ogunji , moved a motion urging the court to grant an order restraining ABSAA from removing the campaign billboards.
Ruling on the motion in suit No: HOS/86/2022, Chief Barr. Ahamdi Emmanuel Nweke (Applicant) and the Abia State Signage and Advertisement Agency(Defendant/ Respondent), Justice Teddy Eruba, restrained the advertisement agency or its agents, privies or successors in title under any name,from removing Nweke’s billboards displayed within the Abia central senatorial zone.
“The defendants ,jointly and severally ,either by itself or through the privies ,agents, assigns ,successors in title or howsoever name, are hereby restrained in the interim from further removing the billboards ,flexes and other campaign paraphernalia of applicant displayed within the senatorial district of Abia Central.
“It is further ordered that the restraining order will elapse if the motion on notice and other processes in the suit are not served on the defendants within the next 7 working days.”
