Unknown gunmen attacked Umuguma Police Station in the early hours of Saturday.
Umuguma is a community in the state capital, Owerri, precisely in Owerri West local government.
An eyewitness told Pointblanknews.com that the attack occurred at about 1 am today.
Two policemen were reportedly killed in the attack while at least seven vehicles were destroyed.
There are reports that explosives were used in the attack.
