A policeman identified as Corporal Chinedu Nwachukwu, who raped a student of the Abia State Polytechnic, Aba, has been dismissed from the Nigeria Police.
Nwachukwu was said to have arrested the female student at her Lodge and took her to an undisclosed location where he raped her.

Students of the institution had protested the incident, taking over the Aba – Owerri road and vowed not to retreat until justice is served on the matter.

Pointblanknews.com gathered that the dismissed Corporal and his colleagues usually visit students’ hostels in the area where they arrest and sexually molest female students before releasing them. The students were said to have made several complaints to the management of the Polytechnic who did nothing until the students embarked on protest which attracted Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s attention.

Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, Mrs Janet Agbede, disclosed this in Umuahia, stated that his dismissal of the policeman followed an orderly room trial where he was found guilty of the rape allegation.

Pointblanknews.com gathered that the dismissed policeman will soon be arraigned for rape, extortion, and other offenses.
