(A Must Read For Every Igbo)
Our Governor’s and political leaders in igboland may not have two testicles. They lack the needed balls that begits and prepare men for some extra feats. They lack the courage and perhaps the extra litre of conscientious latitude that pushes calculative leadership. Our Governor’s and those we gave mandates to represent us are timid and lull.
Yoruba leadership is shrewd and hawkish. How else should I reoresents a set of people who are constantly exploring all available loopholes in our constitution to create niche for themselves and improve their history.
First was Bola Tinubu, who defied Obasanjo and created extra LGAs in Lagos. His team , led by famous lawyer, Cooker spent days and nights pondering over the provisions and prescriptions of the nation’s constitution. They rose after her retreat with a proposal for the creation of additional LGAs. Tinubu was assured that such action was constitutional. And fiam, he responded. Though the egotist administrator, Obasanjo fought back, the supreme Court vindicated Tinubu. Till date, that creation persists, and serves as a good reminder to some secret permissiveness of the law!!!
Again, in September 2010, the Yoruba leadership charged their Eggheads under the leadership of Babalola, to explore the possibility of having June 12 as a public holiday in the Western States. The legal luminaries retired at Akete lodge, Ekiti for twelve days and returned with a statement: “go ahead and make the law”!!! It is within your powers to do so”. With this prompt, the governor’s of Yoruba nation took us by surprise when they began to, individually pass the law that makes June 12 a holiday in their individual states. Lagos took the lead in 2014, then Ogun State (2012), Oyo (2013) and Ekiti in 2014. Buhari was literally forced to accept the omen and lend the national impramatur to the rattles of these clever states. Today, June 12 is a national holiday season. If Yorubas didn’t start the agitation , they wouldn’t have it granted on a platter!!!
Our Governor’s in the East lack the balls. Their testicles are weak and bloated.
Yorubas refused to kill OPC!!! They know the relevance and expediency of keeping warriors at home. Till date, Gani Williams receives monthly stipend from all states in the West and his organisation (OPC) receives monthly allocations from state governments. Gani Williams, the fiery talking motor park prompted leader is currently the Are Ona Kakanfo, the commander in chief of the Yoruba army!!! Government of the West are strongly behind him. Thrice he was arrested and thrice he was released with despatch!!! His threats , his actions and illegalities fall under the security carpets. OPC is yet to be blacklisted in Nigeria. It is yet to be on to the Terror list .
Niger Delta Militia is heavily sponsored by South South governor’s.
Arewa Youths are yet to be publicly denounced by the Northern leadership.
On the other hand, consider the agony our local militia forces pass through ! Bakkassi was killed on the orders of Abuja. MASSOB was hounded into unconsciousness on the instructions of the Federal government. IPOB is a terrorist organisation even when Area groups, Fulani herdsmen , Egbesus etc are enjoying lattitudinal licenses. There are always reasons to destroy our own. Our Governor’s are agents, good boys and loyalists of Abuja and must always carry out Federal directives at all cost.
OPC controls motor parks, public buildings, markets, and street life. Her activities are not solemn. Extra judicial activites, wanton and erratic exhibitions are heir trademarks. Yet, governor’s of the West didn’t reach out for her extermination.
May I ask: who protects Igboland? Arewa is for North. OPC is for West. Niger Delta is for South South. Where does the internal security of Igbo people fall? Having killed or denounced our local warriors, who protects our local interests? Some irredentist fellows would argue that our local mercenaries and warring groups are creating problems, too many headaches for the population. We may ask them to compare the activities of other militia groups with that of IPOB and MASSOB
Yoruba leadership met in June last year to consider the possibility of having a local police institution. The leadership wanted to know if the Constitution would permit her to establish a regional security outfit. The yoruba egg heads in law retired to their study and emerged after few weeks with a recommendation. They encouraged their governor’s to go ahead with the projects. Today, they have Ayomekum. They didn’t get it do easily. But they got . On the other hand, the Lily livered igbo Governors met hurriedly in Enugu and delegated the Inspector General of police to work on a template on regional policing for them. Just imagine!!! Entrusting your security arrangement in the hands of your enemy. Six months later, the same governor’s summoned the gut to tell the world that the IG didn’t do the work according to their agreement. May I ask : “who designed the template and came out with the idea of Ayomekum? The Yoruba governor’s and their intellectual bands did! Why must our Governor’s send the IG on such a sensitive errand?
Law is an ass!!! Yorubas are smart and ingenious. They navigate round the constitution seeking for loopholes . Fortunately there are several gray areas that could tolerate and accommodate the whims of any curious and serious seeker. Regrettably , our Governor’s are not skilled enough in governance. They are not astute enough in leadership. They are not willing and ready to carry their technocrats along. They are too busy to research and study.
Tell me why May 30 shouldn’t become a holiday in Igboland. Yorubas had theirs earlier before the Federal’s impramatur. Courageous leaders have deep insight. Our leaders in Igbo land lack vision. They are appendagges of of the north, extension arms of the caliphate and the minions of our tormentors. Rather than devote some of their minutes to reading , exploring, and inspecting the federation constitution with a view to identifying some escape routes ( the way their ciunterosrts in the West do), they sit comfortably in the office taking calls of Umarus and Shehus
