Army flush out armed robbers from IMO Community As LG Boss Says All Is Calm

Interim Management Committee Chairman of Oguta local government area of Imo State, Hon Emma Mazi, says Oguta is intact in terms of security hence relative peace in the locality,

Mazi, who stated this in chat with Eastern Voice on Friday, stated that Oguta people are peaceful productive, reasonable and cordial hence they abhor crime as they go about their normal activities.

The Oguta local government boss, posited that he was happy that the people of Oguta are law- abiding who have been supportive to the shared prosperity administration championed by Governor Hope Uzodimma, promising to sustain good governance and effective security of lives and properties at the area for even development.

Mazi informed that some armed robbers who terrorised the locality have been killed by the military and community police (vigilante), while some who could not escape with gun injuries, were apprehended and taken to Police Criminal Investigation Department, CID, Owerri, for prosecution.

“There is peace and tight security in Oguta. Some hoodlums who terrorise the locality have been killed. The entire Oguta people were jubilating as the armed robbers and bandits who terrorise them on daily basis, leaving them restless, were ride of. We therefore, commend the gallantry of the military and our community police (vigilante) in maintaining peace, orderliness and security”, Mazi maintained.
